A huge congratulations from all at The Sussex Disability Football League to all the players who took part in The FA Peoples Cup- A National 5-a-side competition.
It was a fantastic day, full of sportsmanship, respect, goals, saves and all round good football, even the sun made an appearance. With the majority of teams being from Albion In The Community and 1066 Specials entering a team it was a fierce competition with all to play for in the final game of the Championship Division. AITC Team 1 thoroughly deserved their winners trophy and medals after a thrilling run in the first round of the Cup winning all 3 of their games. 1066 Specials introduced two new players to the Sussex Disability Football set up and we were very impressed with their debut performance- Well done Ashley and Aaron!
Division one fixtures were well managed by Referee Dylan Baker-Mineau as AITC 4 faced AITC 5 in three separate matches and secured three wins to take them through to the next round of the FA Peoples Cup. The details of the next round of the cup will be decided once all county’s have hosted their first rounds.
