Fundraising Fixture Event

Football here at the Sussex Disability Football League is one of a kind here in Sussex. We play around 35 fixtures in one day and over 300 players join in throughout the day. Referees are fully qualified, volunteers are always smiling  and club coaches make it a truly enjoyable experience for all involved.

None of this can be achieved without the support of sponsors and donations. We are privileged to have the Driver Youth Trust as our main sponsor along with Innov8 Training, Rix and Kay and Knight Accountants. We would not be where we are today without these sponsors and the league committee would like to thank all our sponsors for supporting the us with our development. More and more exciting opportunities are on the horizon and players should watch this space…

Along with putting on our monthly fixtures, we try to give back to the community. This month we joined forces with Shine UK who are a charity that have supported one of our own junior players for many years. Shine provides specialist support from before birth and throughout the life of anyone living with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus, as well as to parents, families, carers and professional care staff. Shine enables people to get the best out of life.

We had a raffle with some fantastic prizes to be won (Signed Geoff Hurst Shirt) SDFL Cakes donated from local companies and a Cup competitions for our junior teams. We raised a fantastic £260.60 !!

Please have a look at our video below- Junior teams in action in the cup and penalties against Shine mascot; Benny the Bear!
